This year’s Rhythms On Da Runway dubbed ‘100% GH Edition’ was incredibly great, in spite of the COVID-19 challenge, it was still Ghana’s biggest night out. As a matter of fact, all the protocols were observed accordingly. The event was held at the Underbridge, East Legon, Accra on Saturday, 14th November 2020.
It was lit, with lots of outfit inspiration ideas, our African inspired and authentic Ghanaian designers were quite savvy, both emerging and established alike, they did pretty well to set new trends on the runway, which we believe are worthy of notice and recognition. See only a few of them that we compiled or put together just for you.
Sima Brew actually made it happen with her bold prints and beautiful colors. She was very alluring and intricate, her style and elegance were unmatched, this stunning midi sleeve print dress embellished with crystals is to die for. It actually explains why she’s worked with a whole lot of celebrities in Ghana, the luxury designer always feels inspired to do some amazing stuff.
B’venaj was very exceptional with her new collection, she showcased something original and beautiful, African print inspired outfits with lace details. You could see through with this sleeve dress, side splits, sheer lace details and showing a little bit of skin. The brand is a chic and sophisticated ready-to-wear for high achieving woman who desires to look versatile on any given day.
Another designer who turned heads on the runway was Kate O Eleganza, she was a shining brilliance, glowing with light. Uber cool outfits with bridal motifs, this velvet mini wrap got us dripping and asking for more. The fashion brand strives to introduce unique designs with high quality patterns and finishing.
Brush and Saccy Bespoke really did well to represent, he actually showcased a fabulous collection with class and style. This floral suit decorated with black top notch laple and a matching trench speaks volumes, the trend setting was taking to a whole new level. The illustrous fashion brand specialises in bespoke suits, shoes, luxury leatherware and couture gowns.
The runway experience got better for the established designer, StepHapp. She was really there to show what she’s got, her fabric choice was quite impressive. Especially this traditional or cultural and delicate smock from the northern part of Ghana, honestly it was a time to get it right and stay on top of the game.
